This Privacy Policy explains how SuperRecovery ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application (package com.emberoak.mobile). We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Summary

• Your files stay on your device. The photos, videos, documents and audio the App scans to find and recover are processed entirely on your device. We never upload, copy, transmit, sell, or store your files on any server.
• We collect limited, anonymous usage and diagnostic analytics (via Google) to understand how the App is used and to improve it.
• The App may show advertisements provided by Google, which use advertising identifiers.
• We do not require you to create an account and we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or other directly identifying personal information.

2. Information We Access and Collect

a) Files on your device (accessed, not collected)

To provide its core recovery and cleanup features, the App requests access to storage / media on your device so it can scan for recoverable and existing photos, videos, documents, and audio files. This scanning and any recovery or deletion you choose to perform happen locally on your device. The App does not send the contents, names, or metadata of your files to us or any third party.

b) Usage and device analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the App is used, such as: screens viewed, features used, buttons tapped, scan/recovery counts, session duration, app open events, app version, device model, operating system version, device language, and coarse region (derived from IP address, which is not retained by us). Firebase also assigns a randomly generated app instance identifier. This data is used only to measure performance, fix problems, and improve the App.

c) Advertising

The App may display ads served by Google AdMob. Advertising services may collect and use your device's Advertising ID and limited technical/interaction data to serve and, where permitted, personalize ads and measure their performance. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings (see Section 6).

d) Notifications

With your permission, the App sends local notifications (for example, reminders that recoverable photos may be available). You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the App's file recovery, cleanup, and recycle-bin features.
• To understand usage patterns and improve features, stability, and performance.
• To display and measure advertisements that support the free App.
• To send you optional notifications you have permitted.

4. Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. Information is processed by the following third-party service providers strictly for the purposes above:

• Google Analytics for Firebase — usage analytics. See Firebase Privacy and Google Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — advertising. See How Google uses data.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Firebase's default retention settings. We do not retain your files — they never leave your device. Uninstalling the App removes all App data stored locally on your device.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Permissions: You can grant or revoke storage/file and notification permissions at any time in your device's system settings. Revoking file access will limit recovery features.
• Advertising ID: Reset or delete it via Settings → Privacy → Ads (Android), and opt out of ad personalization there.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the App stops all data collection and removes local App data.
• GDPR/CCPA: If you are in a region with applicable data-protection laws, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data and to opt out of certain processing. Contact us using the details below to make a request.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Because your files are processed on your device and not transmitted to us, they are not exposed to server-side risks. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
